With over 24 years’ experience in litigation, Attorney Kaminsky has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in construction defect and collections cases, public works projects, personal injury, commercial and construction contract disputes, divorce, real estate transactions including fraud and misrepresentation, and commercial and residential landlord/tenant disputes.  He has extensively experienced the mediation process, and arbitrated cases, in both California and Wisconsin.  He has also served as an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau in automotive lemon law disputes.

Through this experience, Attorney Kaminsky has first hand knowledge of cases that settle and cases that don’t, and can offer insight and assistance to parties through this difficult process.  Sometimes it is the opinion of a neutral third party that tips the scales toward reasonable compromise that avoids the continued costs and risks of legal actions.

Mr. Kaminsky has 9 years of general divorce practice as well as an additional five years of work in CHIPS and child custody matters.

Having two young children of his own, Kaminsky understands the family dynamic and the way judges often view child custody situations. Kaminsky has had the opportunity to witness court rulings in hundreds of child custody matters, whether in a divorce or a CHIPS case. Knowing what to work for is half the battle.

Having been both a defense attorney and a prosecutor, including three successful first degree murder trials, Mr. Kaminsky has seen both sides of the coin. He knows the thought process behind criminal prosecutions and investigations. He has handled hundreds of criminal hearings. He will provide an honest and forthright opinion on your case and devise the best strategy possible. In addition, Mr. Kaminsky holds a bachelor’s of science in biology, and has significant experience understanding issues surrounding DNA and other scientific evidence in the courtroom.

One of Mr. Kaminsky's successful murder prosecutions was a 1976 cold case.  Few attorneys have dealt with the complex issues surrounding the loss of evidence, faded memories, deceased witnesses, and dated biological evidence encountered in a cold case homicide.  Mr. Kaminsky was able to work closely with witnesses, explain the true nature of the DNA evidence involved in the case, and avoid the pitfalls of missing evidence to present a successful case.  Whether it is for the prosecution or the defense, Kaminsky's experience and trial skill is of the highest level.
